John Searl Forestry Ltd
FORESTRY & WOODLANDS CONSULTANCY
We are a forestry consultancy and woodland management company.
We are based in North Wales and undertake work throughout the UK.
Our principal is a Chartered Forester with over 25 years' experience in forestry and woodland management.
We work on behalf of private investors, traditional estates, farmers and other rural land owners.
We offer an honest and straightforward service to all our customers.
We market all types of timber and are keen to promote timber as a source of fuel. The opportunities available with rising fuel prices to bring woodlands into management we believe should be exploited.
We aim to be flexible in how your timber can be marketed, working with partners in the industry and processing sector we seek to maximise sale returns through optimising both harvesting operations and timber prices by careful planning and negotiation. The route to market may vary depending on demand- some crops may be sold standing while others worked through a negotiated sale. Where opportunities exist for niche sales or for sale of non-timber products, we will seek to exploit these opportunities.
We offer a full range of services including undertaking new planting schemes, replanting of felled woodlands, maintenance operations to ensure crops succeed and the construction of roads and tracks to facilitate timber and woodland operations.
The service is designed to ensure your property is well managed both in accordance with UKWAS but also in a way that protects the capability of woodland environment and ensures long-term objectives are balanced and achieved.
Woodlands are more than just profit and we recognise the potential in each woodland for creating new opportunities for sporting use, conservation or just to create a beautiful environment to enjoy.
